Saru began as a civil society initiative in 2018 and later became fully incorporated in Lebanon. It was created to support civil society and empower marginalized women, including displaced women and refugees in host communities, to become active civic participants and leaders.بدأت سارو كمبادرة مجتمع مدني عام 2018، ثم أصبحت منظمة قائمة في لبنان. أُنشئت لدعم المجتمع المدني وتمكين النساء المهمشات، بمن فيهن النازحات واللاجئات في المجتمعات المضيفة، ليصبحن فاعلات وقياديات في محيطهن.

Saru works for the wellbeing of refugees and people in need.
